Book and Bucket’s signature Dorset Hard Cheese, likened by many to a mature Manchego.


This cheese was the first cheese we developed, and as such holds a special place at the Book and Bucket. This Manchego inspired cheese, has a depth and complexity that develops a wonderful, sweet, nutty, almost fudge like taste as it ages.

The natural rind changes as it matures, depending on the season and the changing landscape around us in Cranborne, adding to its special quality and terroir of this cheese.

Made from 100% sheep milk, pasteurised and suitable for vegetarians.

Whether that be small independent farmers or larger family run farms with many regenerative farming traditions. We strive to keep the farm to fork mileage to a minimum. We are firm believers in our customers knowing where and how our produce is reared.
